Bulgaria - Breads and Tradition

During my first visit to Bulgaria, I embarked on a quest to find sourdough. It was an amazing week, as I was well taken care of by the locals. We visited many places and spent numerous hours in the car, but it was definitely worth it in this beautiful country. I had the opportunity to visit Alexandra, the owner of Sourdough 134, at the library. Additionally, I observed the process of making sourdough and yogurt from the dew collected by young girls at sunrise. As the highlight of my trip, I was able to participate in a ceremony where a daughter received sourdough from her mother as a symbol of love and a wish for her to take care of her new family. It was the embodiment of the concept of "motherdough." Enjoy watching my "Quest for Sourdough" in Bulgaria.
